Effective 8:00 AM, July 8, 2026. Wildfire danger has increased with hot-dry conditions creating critical fire conditions. The Sheridan County Board of County Commissioners, based on recommendations of Chris Thomas, County Fire Warden, and rural fire department Chiefs, has announced the implementation of Partial Fire Restrictions.
Volunteers are actively training for the 2026 fire season. Sessions cover fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency response. Interested in joining?
